No leading into the story…it’s just BAM at page 1.
Vaughn and Nova are the couple I could read about forever. This book is nothing of what I was expecting. Wow this book has it all. It’s dark, edgy, romantic, steamy and thankfully has a HEA. 
When you call someone you recently met (and yes married) and he shows up. When he says “Remember you’re my wife. Nobody f*cks with what’s mine”…yep, you can’t help but swoon and fall in love!! Ugh, I just love Vaughn!! 
How could I sum up this book?
It’s like waking up on Christmas morning with gifts under the tree and when you open the 1st box, lift the cover…it’s everything you could ever want!!

I absolutely devoured this book — from the very first chapter, I was hooked and genuinely couldn’t put it down.
If you love tropes like accidental marriage, forced proximity, and enemies to lovers, this story delivers everything you could want and more. The tension between the main characters is intense, layered, and so addictive to watch unfold. What really stood out to me was the depth of the emotional push-and-pull — the way their relationship evolves from resistance to something fiercely protective and consuming.
This book definitely leans darker than Missy’s previous work, and honestly, I am here for it. The added edge, the more dangerous characters, and the heightened stakes gave the story a gripping intensity that made it impossible to step away from. It felt bolder, moodier, and even more immersive.
Every moment felt purposeful, every interaction charged — I was fully invested from start to finish.
And now? I need Sebastian and Claudia’s story immediately. The anticipation is real.

Wow this was a good read could not put it down. I really enjoyed the added edge to the story. The chemistry again was off the charts. I have already preordered the next 2 books. Missy you never disappoint.

I got the first lot of books because I seen them posted about on Facebook, and decided to buy them and see if I would like them. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised and fell in love with all the characters

Lines are drawn…. Alessandro and Giulia have a love/hate relationship. The more time they spend together, the stronger their feelings towards each other become. I love these two characters and things heat up very quickly. The story is full of passion, intrigue, betrayal, vengeance, power, control, twists and turns around every corner. There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! The book goes through moments of the thoughts or possibilities that it could happen to, to extreme violence to the most beautiful tender moments! I’m very happily hooked! I did not want it to end! From page to page, chapter to chapter, I could not put it down - you will metaphorically be on the edge of your chair! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

All were tremendous!

This remarkable series about the Santoro mafia family continues with the story of Alessandro Vitali and Giulia Santoro. Giulia has been sheltered her entire life which is understandable given their family's business and she is the youngest sibling. Her driver/bodyguard is Alessandro who is now employed by the Santoros despite having a complicated past with the family. Their story blends an age gap along with forbidden love to deliver a delicious combination.

Like anyone else starting college, Giulia desperately wants to spread her wings and be more independent. Of course, one can imagine that Alessandro is unwilling to back down since his sole purpose is her safety. Both of them are very strong-willed so I was glued to the story as they bickered and pushed back and forth against each other while their physical attraction sky rocketed. Their banter was top notch and it was a blast watching their interactions turn from frustration to flirty to steamy when any bitterness thawed out, and then feelings started to develop.

Alessandro and Giulia are each facing their own challenges and may be approaching life from different perspectives, but I really appreciated how they built a connection beyond only the physical one and provided support to each other in their own unique way. And despite the fact that their relationship may be shocking to others when it first comes to light, I adored Giulia when she didn't hesitate to stand up for what she wanted. And speaking of this, I loved how the author let Giulia and Alessandro finally speak up, even if she threw a slight curveball and made me anxiously flip to find out what happened!
