This is the fifth book in this impressive series, and this is Alessandro and Giulia’s story.
Giulia is a mafia princess, who makes New York her escape, while Alessandro’s actions have him exiled from his family, and his punishment is to work for the Santoro’s. Giulia’s father assigned Alessandro to become her driver / bodyguard, which she is not happy about, and she certainly knows how to push his buttons, but he take guarding her seriously. The more time Giulia spends with Alessandro, she sees though his persona to the man underneath.
This is a well written action packed, easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, tension, angst, danger, suspense, intrigue, enemies / lovers, challenges, redemption, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable dark mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
If you love mafia romance packed with tension, loyalty, and forbidden passion, Exiled Love delivers exactly that — and then raises the stakes.
The story centers around Alessandro, whose reckless choices force two rival mafia families into a reluctant alliance through marriage. As punishment and control, he’s exiled into servitude — working as the personal driver for the Santoro family’s protected princess, Giulia. What begins as resentment and silent defiance slowly shifts into something far more dangerous.
The forced proximity between them is written beautifully. Their chemistry isn’t instant — it builds through guarded conversations, lingering glances, and moments where both characters fight feelings they know could get them killed. Alessandro embodies the true alpha male archetype: protective, intense, and willing to carry the burden of consequences alone. Giulia, however, is far from weak. She’s strong-willed, perceptive, and quietly rebellious, which makes their dynamic feel balanced rather than overpowered.
The age gap element works naturally within the mafia hierarchy, reinforcing both authority and tension instead of feeling forced. And the forbidden love trope is done especially well — not just because their families would disapprove, but because discovery could cause an internal family war between siblings and their father.
Then comes the turning point: the assassination attempt. The moment Alessandro throws himself in front of Giulia to shield her from gunfire is the emotional peak of the story. It isn’t just heroic — it confirms what neither of them could safely admit.
Overall, this book blends romance and danger in a way that keeps you flipping pages. It’s angsty without dragging, passionate without losing plot, and dramatic without becoming unrealistic.
Tropes included:
Age gap
Forced proximity
Alpha male protector
Forbidden love
Mafia family rivalry
Disclaimer: I was provided this book as an ARC. This review is my honest opinion on the book.
Oh, I love Missy’s books so much! It doesn’t matter whether it’s a mafia or a billionaire series, she always manages to write a fantastic story with believable characters and a great plot. Exiled Love is no exception!
This was Giulia and Alessandro’s story, and I freaking loved it! I was hooked from page one and couldn’t put it down. I really tried not to like Alessandro, but I just couldn’t. Despite his past actions, which were painful for Giulia’s family, you can sense in everything that he is actually a broken man, longing for love. The chemistry between him and Giulia was incredible.
I loved everything about this book! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I really wanted to not like this match but I couldn’t put the book down once I got past my own thoughts! I more than ready to start and not finish because I was ready to despise Alessandro so I was surprised how much i enjoyed their story. Well done as always not a disappointment!!!
Like others I wondered how Missy was going to redeem Alessandro given the story so far. Of course Guilia was the answer and an angsty, slow burn, secret, all encompassing kind of love. if this is the last in the series it’s the perfect ending
This was great. Fiesty with friction and loaded with romance.
Alessandro is looked as less in the family and forced to work as a bodyguard driver for Mafia princess spoilt brat Guilia while she goes to college.
The push pull of the driver brat relationship was just delicious. Alessandro was almost a Saint putting up with her and her moods, always testing him. But that attraction grew over time and settled into something more.
I enjoyed the forbidden aspect of the relationship and the slow build. There was danger and definitely drama but the romance was right.
Amazing writing and didn't want this to end. Loved the whole experience. Fantastic work!!
Overall I really enjoyed this story. Seeing Alessandro change and grow and let down his walls was beautiful. Guilia had some growing up to do and at points she really irritated me (I had to remind myself of her age). Despite that, she grew as well and overcame challenges of her own, warring between family loyalty and her heart. While this is considered a stand alone, I would read the books in order. I had read the first 3 (Luca and Emilia's story) but hadn't read the fourth book (Dante and Sophia's) and I was a little lost. The opening scene threw me a little. Again, I was familiar with the characters and the storyline so I was able to catch on but if this were the first book I picked up, I would have been lost. All in all, I really enjoyed this story and can see myself reading it again.
Absolutely loved Exiled Love. Amazingly written, slow burn mafia romance, chemistry and twists and turns. Binge read book in one day as couldn’t put it down. Fantastic series
I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book and I have voluntary left a review.
Exiled Love is part of the Elite Mafia series. If you haven't started Missy Walker’s Elite Mafia series, or any of the other books she has written. What are you waiting for? Missy Walker writes with an intensity that keeps you glued to the pages. I was so invested in this storyline that I had to revisit the earlier books just to soak in all the family history and connections again. Reading these in order is a must—the way the Santoro family saga builds upon itself is brilliant. It’s a 5-star "just one more chapter" kind of read!

Exiled Love was exactly what I expected from Missy Walker- captivating, steamy and emotional! I devoured this book! I absolutely love Giulia. She’s funny, kind and sees more than people think. And Alessandro is the bad boy you hate and love at the same time.
Another story and one I still couldn't not put down. Missy as always has her audience at her clutches. Alessandro and Giulia story is definitely a page turner you will maybe want to clear your afternoon to read this book as you will not want to out it down!
Mafia romance, forbidden love and chemistry all in one book.
This should be on everyone's must read lists.
cant wait for the next book in the series.
Beautiful books better in person omg can't wait to read them.
I absolutely loved Exiled Love by Mrs. Walker! I finished it in one day! I couldn’t put it down. Such a great story, and I was so happy we finally got Giulia’s story!
I absolutely loved Exiled Love, the final book in Missy Walker’s Elite Mafia of New York series. Missy did a great job with Alessandro and his redemption after previous books and his hatred for the Santoro family.
I really enjoed the slow-burn romance between Alessandro and Giulia was perfect it make you just want tobread now and not put the book down. Their chemistry built beautifully, and when they finally gave in to their feelings, it was worth the wait. Than Watching Alessandro realise how different he could be and how much he needed Giulia was such a highlight. The forbidden love storyline added so much tension and excitement. Missy has an amazing way of making you feel like you’re right there in the story. Turning an enemy into a protector was such a powerful twist.
I was hooked from the beginning and highly recommend this book and all of Missy Walker’s books. My only wish is that there had been an epilogue because I wasn’t ready for it to end. Cant wait for the next one!!
