And then there's Charlie, our somewhat overweight cat, our chickens, and Benji, the border collie, each providing their own brand of distraction and joy.

Masterful Writer

Hungry Heart by Missy Walker is an office romance. I loved the way Missy Walker was able to introduce Vincent and Rosie as being opposites. Vincent is a member of a prosperous business empire and social status. At the same time, Rosie is a college senior who was assigned to be a business intern for Vincent’s company as well as employed as a lingerie-dressed waitress for a gentlemen’s club named the Vanilla Club. Rosie and Vincent have a memorable first encounter inside the VC. It was a surprise for each to see the other the next day at the company intern meeting. The story familiarized the reader with hints of what was to come by, stating that Vincent had unique tastes regarding his sexual encounters.
On the other hand, Rosie was a true innocent who had not developed sexual flavors or passions. Instead of stating that the overall theme would be BDSM (not a trope I enjoy reading), but allowed the characters to experiment and find out what each enjoyed. Because of how Missy Walker handled the sexy scenes, I enjoyed the book thoroughly. If BDSM is a trigger for the reader, I don’t recommend reading the bonus scene that one can download. There are many types of readers with a myriad of individual tastes. Missy Walker drew me into a less favored trope, and I still enjoyed reading her story. That is a masterful writer.

Intriguing billionaire, age-gap, super steamy story

Billionaire. Age gap. Forbidden. Best friend's younger sister. Forbidden Lust hits the mark of all of these tropes and then more with lots of steam and hot scenes.Lourde Diamond is a Manhattan princess. Born into money, she knows what her family expects from her. While only 23, she is ready to assume the role of proper girlfriend and eventually wife in a union that will benefit her family media empire. Her life has always been planned, and she is ok with it. But when Lourde discovers her handpicked boyfriend is drunk and sleeping with another woman while in the Hamptons, she is ready to throw caution to the wind, enjoy the summer and behave as any other 23-year-old would.Barrett Black is Lourde's oldest brother's best friend. He built his construction empire while coming from nothing and now is one of the most seek-out bachelors in Manhattan. Barrett doesn't do relationships, yet he has been attracted to Lourde for years. Yet, his loyalty to his best friend and the 8-year age gap with Lourde have always kept him from acting on his desire. Until the Diamond princess needs a place to stay in the Hamptons.What I loved the most about Barrett and Lourde was their connection. They reveal to each other parts of themselves that they have never had the courage nor the intention to tell others. They just click, and their attraction is so, so hot.Missy Walker definitely keeps raising the bad with each book she writes. And while Forbidden Lust offers a subtle HFN, I'm incredibly intrigued about what is yet to come.
